When calm isn't empty

A short reflection for when your space feels calm, but doesn’t quite hold you.
Three minutes. Twenty-three seconds. Listen when it suits you.
This reflection came from noticing how often we associate calm with less.
Less colour. Less presence. Less to notice.
But sometimes what we’re really craving isn’t emptiness.
It’s something that gives a little back.
When calm isn't empty, it becomes something you can live inside of.
You might like to pause here for a moment.
Where do your eyes naturally rest when your mind feels full?
Is there a place that supports you, or does everything ask something of you?

If this reflection stirred something you’d like to talk through more personally, I hold a small number of Private Preview conversations each month.
They’re quiet, unhurried sessions where we explore how art and space can support the way you live and think, starting with your own environment.
And you can always return to this reflection anytime.
