Moments of Calm for Busy Minds

Updated: Feb 18

There was a time not long ago when life felt overwhelming.

I was buried under work, my mind tangled with stress, and sleep felt like a distant memory. One spring afternoon, utterly spent, I decided to turn off my computer earlier than usual. The sun was glittering through the window, and I felt a pull—an urge to escape the chaos in my mind.

So, I grabbed my camera and put my dog on the lead. We stepped out of the front gate, and I let her lead the way, trusting her nose to guide us. She took us to a part of town I had never been to —sleepy roads lined with beautiful houses and quaint cottage gardens. The light was soft, the air was still, and there was a peacefulness that I hadn’t felt in a long time.

As we wandered those quiet streets, I began to notice the little things—the delicate petals of a flower catching the last of the afternoon light, the way the shadows danced across the cobblestones. I felt myself slowing down, becoming more present with each step. By the time we made our way home, I felt like a different person. For the first time in ages, I felt grounded, at peace, and deeply connected to the world around me.

That’s the feeling I hope to share through "Moments of Calm". In a world that never seems to slow down, I want to offer a quiet space—a place where you can pause, breathe, and reconnect with the beauty of nature, even if just for a few moments each day.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Follow along, and if you haven’t already, subscribe to my Collectors email list. Let’s find these moments of calm together.
