MoreThan Red
More Than Red is for the person trying to fit themselves into a simpler story than the truth allows.
There is a Japanese maple in my garden that I watch every autumn. From a distance, it appears entirely red. But when I moved close enough to study a single leaf, a different picture emerged. Greens, yellows, oranges and burgundies all lived together in the same small space.
The photograph became a reflection of something I think many of us forget.
We are not one thing. Not one role. Not one title. Not one version of ourselves. Yet we often pressure ourselves to become easier to explain, easier to categorise, easier to understand.
Within Autumn Elegance, this piece asks what happens when you stop reducing yourself and begin accepting the whole picture instead.
More Than Red is about the freedom that comes from embracing every colour. The parts you're growing beyond. The parts still emerging. The parts that make you uniquely, unmistakably you.
