Hidden Haven
Hidden Haven is what it feels like to find a small, safe place within something vast, and discover that this is all you needed.
A fern trunk, close up, with soft indirect light settling on the textures of the bark and the fine details of what grows on and around it. The rest of the forest softens into a warm blur behind, present but not demanding. There is nothing more asked of me in this image. There is just the texture, the warmth, the quiet, and the feeling of being tucked away in a corner the rest of the world doesn't need to reach.
I found Hidden Haven because I was already there. Already deep in the walk, already present, already entirely within the forest rather than observing it from outside. This image could not have been made in the first hour. It came later, when I had completely arrived.
Hidden Haven is for the person who needs a place in their home that does what this corner of the forest did for me: holds them, briefly, without needing anything back. Not a grand gesture. Not an instruction or a reminder or a challenge. Just a small, warm, unhurried place that says you can rest here, and means it.
